Do students need prior experience in singing, dancing, or acting?
Not at all! Whether your child is stepping onto the stage for the very first time or already has experience in the performing arts, we have a place for them. Ms. Catherine has designed the classes to meet students where they are, helping each child grow in skill, confidence, and creativity at their own pace.

Can parents stay and observe the rehearsals?
To provide the best learning environment for our students, Music & Theatre Troupe maintains a closed rehearsal policy. Our rehearsal time is carefully planned, and limiting distractions allows students to stay focused, build confidence, and fully engage in the creative process. We can't wait for you to see all of their hard work when they take the stage!

How can I help my child prepare and memorize their lines at home?
A little practice each day goes a long way! Short, consistent rehearsals at home are far more effective than trying to learn everything at once.
Here are a few helpful tips:

Practice lines for a few minutes each day.

Encourage your child to project their voice as though speaking to someone across the room to build strong stage presence.

Help them focus on clear pronunciation and enunciation.

Read the lines before your child's dialogue so they learn to recognize their cues naturally.
Most importantly, keep rehearsals positive and encouraging. Confidence grows with practice!

What happens if my child is absent?
We understand that students will occasionally need to miss a rehearsal due to illness, family commitments, or other unavoidable circumstances.
Because each rehearsal builds on the one before it, classes continue moving forward whether a student is present or not. To keep the entire cast progressing, we are unable to re-teach material that was missed during class.
If you know in advance that your child will be absent let Ms. Catherine know.
If your child is absent, it is their responsibility to catch up before returning to rehearsal. The Student Portal contains rehearsal videos, choreography, scripts, music, and other class materials to help students review and practice at home. Taking the time to prepare before the next rehearsal ensures they can rejoin the group confidently and helps keep rehearsals productive for everyone.
Theatre is a team effort, and every student's preparation contributes to the success of the entire cast. We appreciate your support in helping your child stay current with rehearsal material.
