At Musical & Theatre Troupe, we believe every child has something special to offer. Whether they dream of standing center stage, love to sing and dance, enjoy acting, or are simply looking for a place where they can belong, our goal is to help each student discover their unique gifts while building confidence that extends far beyond the stage.
Founded by Ms. Catherine Colby, Musical & Theatre Troupe has become a place where children ages 4 to 18 can grow as performers, artists, and individuals. Alongside our dedicated staff, Ms. Catherine shares a lifelong passion for the performing arts and an even greater passion for inspiring young people. We don't just teach theatre—we invest in children.
Every student matters. Every child is seen, valued, encouraged, and given the opportunity to shine. We recognize that each student brings different strengths, talents, and challenges into the classroom. Rather than expecting every child to fit into the same mold, we meet them where they are, nurture their abilities, strengthen their skills, and help them discover confidence they never knew they had.
Our programs offer something for every age and experience level. Young performers begin their theatrical journey with imaginative mini musicals that introduce them to the joy of the stage. As students grow, they can participate in acting classes, musical theatre productions, Broadway-style performances, and a variety of performance opportunities designed to challenge and inspire them.
Each season culminates in a fully staged live production complete with beautiful costumes, exciting choreography, professional lighting, sound, scenery, and all the magic that makes live theatre unforgettable. These productions provide students with the opportunity to experience the excitement, discipline, teamwork, and accomplishment that come from bringing a story to life before a live audience.
While our students develop skills in acting, singing, dancing, and stage presence, the lessons they learn reach far beyond the theatre. They discover the value of hard work, perseverance, responsibility, creativity, kindness, collaboration, and respect for others. They build friendships, gain confidence, learn to support one another, and experience the joy of accomplishing something together.
